You must understand that money making depends on traffic, popularity contents. Due to popular request I mention the more money making techniques before I go further.

The most famous of affiliates are amazon, linkshare , commission
junction. You can join any of these and earn when a sale is made .if you arent making a sale intended site then you have less chance of earning. Join only programs that are free to join. Don’t fall to companies that offer high profit on joining for money…..

The topic on which you write will determine your profit
If you don’t write topics that will have things to be bought then affiliates,then affiliates are not useful to you. It also depends on region, take India many people will prefer to buy things from a sale shop than through these sale links. And people are less inclined or fearful or ignorant about such programmes.
You write on a topic which has much money in it (eg laptops, server) then you have more chance for affiliate coz you will earn high even if you have less number of sales. Remember your target population…. Don’t expect people to buy a jewellery but they may buy sex toys since this is secretive through net then going to a shop.
